“And they shall be upon you for a sign and for a wonder, and upon your seed forever.”
— Debarim (Deuteronomy) 28:46, Cepher
A Prophetic Chapter Misunderstood
Debarim (Deuteronomy) 28 is not just a list of ancient curses — it’s a prophetic fingerprint. For generations, this chapter has been spiritualized, misquoted, and mistranslated, all while the true identity of the scattered seed of Yaʽaqov (Jacob) has been hidden under layers of deception.
But when we return to the original Hebrew, we discover that this chapter was never just about disobedience — it’s about identity. And it prophetically identifies who the true Yashar’al is today — not by what religion says, but by the signs YAHUAH Himself declared would be upon the seed forever.
The True Name: Yashar’al (𐤉𐤔𐤓𐤀𐤋)
Yashar’al is often mistranslated as “Israel,” but in Hebrew, it holds powerful covenant meaning:
Yashar — straight, upright, righteous
Al — short for Aluah, Aluahiym, the Mighty One
This isn’t a national title. It’s a covenant identity — one given to those who walk uprightly with Aluah.
And when that covenant was broken, the consequences were generational.
Yashar’al today are not defined by modern borders or religious systems — they are the scattered seed, carrying the prophetic marks found in this chapter.
“Seed” Means Seed — Not a Metaphor
“Cursed shall be the fruit of your womb…” — Debarim 28:18
The Hebrew word used is Zera (𐤆𐤓𐤏) — which means literal offspring. These curses weren’t spiritual allegories. They were generational judgments on physical descendants, resulting from rebellion against YAHUAH’s covenant.
The Curses Are the Sign (𐤀𐤕 – Oth)
“And they shall be upon you for a sign and for a wonder, and upon your seed forever.” — v. 46
The word for “sign” is Oth (𐤀𐤕) — the same word used in Bere’shiyth (Genesis) 1:14 for the appointed times and in Shemoth (Exodus) 31:13 for the Shabbath. These curses themselves are a prophetic marker placed on the true Yashar’al.
Mistranslations That Hide the Truth
The reason so few recognize this is because translators and religious institutions have intentionally obscured the meaning of Debarim 28. Here are a few critical mistranslations and replacements that conceal the truth:
1. “Gentiles” instead of “Goyim” (𐤂𐤉𐤌)
Goyim means “nations” or “foreign pagan powers.” Often mistranslated as “Gentiles” — which became a vague term for “non-Jews.” In Debarim 28:49, it refers to oppressing empires — not average outsiders. These are the colonizers, the enslavers, the conquerors.
2. “Buy” instead of “Redeem” (𐤒𐤍𐤄 – Kanah)
“No man shall buy you…” — v. 68
The Hebrew word kanah means to redeem, to deliver — not purchase.
This means: “No one will redeem you.”
The scattered seed would be without deliverance… until their return to YAHUAH.
3. “Israel” instead of “Yashar’al”
“Israel” is a Greco-Roman transliteration that has been politicized.
But Yashar’al means upright with Aluah — and it reflects obedience, not geography.
4. “Obey” instead of “Shamar” (𐤔𐤌𐤓)
“Obey” implies harsh submission. But Shamar means to guard, treasure, protect. This is covenant love — not legalistic servitude.
5. “Servant” instead of “Slave” (𐤏𐤁𐤃 – Eḇed)
This word means slave in context — not simply a helper.
Verse 68 is not metaphorical. It’s describing literal, generational slavery via ships.
The transatlantic slave trade fulfills this curse.
6. “LORD” and “God” instead of YAHUAH / Aluah / Aluahiym
The true Name of the Most High — YAHUAH (𐤉𐤄𐤅𐤄) — was removed over 6,800 times.
In its place:
“LORD” (from Ba’al)
“God” (a pagan title/result of syncretism)
“Elohim” (a later mistranslation)
But the original Hebrew titles are: YAHUAH – the Name Aluah – singular Mighty One Aluahiym – plural of power, used for YAHUAH in majesty
This identity theft was not just linguistic — it was spiritual warfare.
A Global Identity Theft: Who Does This Describe?
Let’s be honest:
Who was taken by ships into captivity? Who was stripped of their language and heritage? Who had their children sold and stolen? Who labors under foreign systems, never fully restored? Who has no redeemer and no rest — just like verse 65 says?
This is not the modern political state of “Israel.”
This describes the scattered descendants of Yashar’al — especially those in the Americas, Caribbean, Africa, and beyond.
It’s Not Just Hidden — It Was Replaced
Replace the Name.
Replace the people.
Replace the covenant.
This has always been the agenda of the beast system.
But now — YAHUAH is restoring all things.
Reflection
If you’ve ever read Debarim 28 and thought, “This sounds like the story of my ancestors” — it’s because it is.
These are not generic curses.
They are identity markers, signs for the last days to awaken the remnant.
And the Ruach Ha’Qodash is opening eyes.
The Good News: Grafted Into Yashar’al Through Yahusha
While Debarim 28 exposes the identity of the scattered seed and the deep deception that has hidden them, the message does not end in judgment — it ends in restoration.
Through Yahusha Ha’Mashiach, the lost sheep of Yashar’al are being called home, and the nations are being invited to be grafted in — not into religion, but into covenant.
“And if some of the branches be broken off, and you, being a wild olive tree, were grafted in among them… boast not against the branches…”
— Romaiym (Romans) 11:17–18
The true Bashura (good news) is not a church message — it is the announcement that the Kingdom of YAHUAH is being restored, the Name is being revealed, and the people are being regathered.
This is the fulfillment of prophecy — and it’s happening now.
“My sheep hear my voice…”
— Yahuchanon (John) 10:27
If you are hearing this truth, if it stirs something deep in your spirit… it is because you were chosen to return.
Yahusha is the door.
And through Him, you are no longer lost — you are grafted into Yashar’al.
“And if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive tree, were grafted in among them… you now share in the root and fatness of the olive tree.”
— Romaiym (Romans) 11:17
Prayer
Abba YAHUAH,
Thank You for preserving Your Word, even when men tried to change it.
Thank You for the signs You placed upon Your people — not to shame, but to awaken.
Open the eyes of the scattered.
Heal the wounds of forgotten tribes.
Break the chains of false religion, language, and identity.
Let us return to Your covenant, Your Name, and Your ways.
Let us rise as Yashar’al — upright with You.
In the Name of Yahusha Ha’Mashiach,
Ahmayn.
